Finding his ardour irresistible, she decides that romance is the best antidote to a mid-life crisis and embarks on a passionate affair. Life becomes more daring and exciting, until Julias’s young lover callously tries to relegate her to a supporting role. C’est alors qu’entre en scène Tom Fennell (Shaun Evans), un jeune homme qui prétend être son plus grand admirateur. Incapable de résister à tant de ferveur, elle décide qu’une avventure amoureuse est le meilleur antidote à sa crise existentielle et s’engage dans une liaison passionnée . La vie devient soudain plus aventureuse et exaltante, jusqu’à ce qle jeune amant de Julia tente froidement de la reléguer au second plan. Julia orchestre alors une vengeance éclatante qui lui redonne exactement la place qui lui revient, au centre de la scène, sous les feux des projecteurs.
