As he begins to grow, some camp residents feel a small but growing cougar could mean trouble.; ; This includes the local cafe owner, Potlatch (Brian Russell), as well as his cantankerous dog, Chainsaw. Problems come to a head as Charlie accidentally disrupts a mammoth downriver lumber drive.; ; After another such incident nearly costs the cougar its life, Jess must face a difficult decision - does he acknowledge the wild nature of his newfound friend... and possibly lose him forever?
