When Rick falls in love with Deborah he has pangs of remorse, but he must contend with his gang boss, Silky (Duryea), and the tough-as-nails moll, Tory (Winters), who is enamored with Rick but is considered Silky's girl. Director George Sherman (The Sleeping City, Against All Flags, Big Jake) keeps the twists and turn coming in this hard-boiled film noir. Beautifully cinematography by Irving Glassberg (The Tarnished Angels, The Price of Fear) and co-starring Dan O'Herlihy (RoboCop) and Gene Evans (Fixed Bayonets!).
