The Korean Koryo dynasty, in attempt to encourage peace with the new Chinese givernment, sends a delegation of soldiers to the new leader. However, the delegation is received with hostillity, accused as spies and exiled to a remote desert. Abandoned and humiliated, the soldiers are forced to choose their loyalties when they encounter the Yuan cavalry who have kidnapped Ming's princess, Pu Yong (Golden Globe nominee Ziyi Zhang, Memoirs of a Geisha) - and only the Koryo can save her.
