Trudeau was a private man who lived a public life, a man who favoured reason over passion. Paradoxically, passion was the hallmark of his marriage, while his passionate commitment to individual rights as the cornerstone of democracy dominated his political agenda. This film explores his vision, which both inspired and frustrated Canadians.
